My Floral Creations – Zara’s Floral Decor

Hello everyone, Sorry that I haven’t posted in a while.  I have been busy with a new path in life.  I have embarked on a creative journey into the world of Floral Design!  I have always loved flowers and been creative, starting with a multimedia degree at uni and working in graphic design, enjoying photography, painting  and hand crafting things.  Now I have found a way to combine almost all my interests with my passion for Flowers!

I call myself  Zara’s Floral Decor and feel very excited to share with you here some of my most beautiful Floral Arrangements.

I create from the heart, using quality life-like artificial flowers.  I believe that they are the best possible home decoration idea, the most thoughtful present and a long-term source of joy.  Artificial flowers don’t wilt, they don’t require watering or cutting stems, there is no tears, when you have to throw your wilted flowers (money) away.  What a perfect idea to keep your Wedding Bouquet forever and you can do it with faux flowers!  Also they do  no smell and therefore don’t cause allergy.  I hope you can give my floral creations a go and tell your friends and family about them!
Enjoy and … if you live in Melbourne, you can own them.  Only one of each is available.  It is exclusive but not expensive.  I do want everyone to be able to enjoy beautiful flowers!  But enough of the words, let the Floral Arrangements speak for themselves…   (Slide show)

Mini still life with flowers and fruit. I have enjoying styling this photoshoot as well as creating the floral design.

A heart full of love and flowers for the front door. Looks pretty welcoming!

Spray painted some roses, which are artificial, of course. Will be using them in Valentine Day’s display.

A floral arrangement for Chinese New Year. It was so much fun picking gorgeous flowers and foliage to create with.

What if the flowers were outside of the vase? Why not?

In the past year terrariums have been in style. Mine has somi mini artificial flowers that will last forever and two gorgeous ladybugs / ladybirds.

I found a photoframe at home and the idea to fill it with flowers came to me. This decor hangs in the living room window do all the people stop and look at it before getting into the house.

I hope you have enjoyed my creations. I have an online shop where you can buy my various floral designs for yourself or someone who loves flowers.

Floral Design Idea

I absolutely love being creative with anything you can think of.  I am enjoying creating beautiful pieces with artificial flowers and foliage.  Having at home unused photo frame that looks like a cage gave me an idea to create a lovely floral design.  It hangs now it the living room’s window and all the visitors to the house can see it before they come in!

So simple, yet it looks very stylish and on trend as a home decor floral arrangement!

Hope you liked it!

Artistic persuits

As long as I remember, I have always enjoyed creative activities.  It all started with coloring in books as a child with pencils and then markers. It was an exciting time, seeing how black and white drawings became colourful and beautiful.  Although I must admit that I did not always stay in lines while coloring and as an adult, I still do not “stay in lines”, follow guidelines or some rules. I enjoy creating things unconventionally, with imagination and passion!

My creativity is spread across many genres.  I enjoy painting mostly in abstract style, I love photography, jewellery making, flower arranging, creative writing, graphic design, landscaping, decorating the home… I suppose the drive is in pleasure that I feel while creating and also the end result is something that I have not planned and therefore it is always a surprise to myself and a satisfaction that I have achieved a visually pleasing result.

I have participated in various exhibitions at galleries and enjoy seeing the reaction of people.  Awesome and WOW are my favourite feedback, because as any artist, I am unsure of how people might feel about my artworks.

OceanKingdomZTMy inspiration comes from various things- usually it is from nature, which I adore.  Any chance I get, I am outdoors, exploring the bush, seaside, gardens and parks.  I do hope that some of my”talent”comes from my great-grandfather, the Armenian Architect Alexander Tamanian  (Tamanyan). He is my ultimate inspiration and idol and I am constantly inspired by his work and life.  You might be interested to read more on my blog under- Architecture & Family Connections

I am very fortunate to be able to create and share with you my passion!  I hope you like it.

Paris in Photo Art Memories

I have been to Paris only once but I feel deep love for this fantastic and beautiful city.  I would love to return to Paris again and walk its streets and feel the heartbeat of the city of Love.  Meanwhile, while I am dreaming of Paris, I create my abstract photo artworks and I hope you enjoy them, mon ami and mon amie!

The gorgeous shopping centre Galeries Lafayette!  It is a pleasure to be there even if it is to just have a look!

1ArtManSFor the art lovers a visit to the Louvre Museum will be a memorable experience!  This is where you can see Nika, the winged goddess of Victory of Samothrace in the Greek, Etruscan, and Roman Antiquities Hellenistic Art (3rd-1st centuries BC) section of the Museum.   I also always look up at the ceiling, there is always something beautiful there!

1ArtNikaAt the Louvre Museum you should also stop to admire the beautiful and mysterious Mona Lisa, painted by Leonardo da Vinci!

The apartment buildings of Paris are elegant and wonderfully decorated with wrought iron balconies!

I highly recommend getting a ticket for a bus tour.  You will sit back, relax, listen to the interesting commentary and let your feet rest as well, which is very important if you plan to walk a lot in this very walkable city. Below, you can see the Notre-Dame de Paris in the distance!

BusTourSmIf you can, visit the unforgettable Palace of Versailles!!!  It is a big place, so you will need to have the time to walk around and enjoy the palace and the gardens, the lake and the fountains!

My Abstract and Creative Postcards of Paris

I have been sick and at home for 3 days now and when I am down my creativity increases.    I used my photographs of Paris to create abstract images / postcards.  My mood and flu are improving as I remember my time in Paris and look at my creations.  Hope you enjoy them!  Please stay safe and healthy!

Not many people have the time to look around, when they are in front of the magnificent Eiffel Tower in Paris.  I walked to the side of the Tower and there is a quiet and peaceful park with a lake.  This magpie is French!

ArtAiffelI was on a bus tour when I first saw the beautiful Arch of Triumph!  I have heard that the views from it are absolutely stunning!  I enjoyed just being next to it!

My creation- Decorative Birdcage

I was walking one day in my area and saw a birdcage on the side of the road.  Somebody didn’t want it anymore and placed it outside.  Immediately I thought that I could do something creative with it.  It was a large birdcage without any floor.  Luckily at home I had all the materials that I would need, I didn’t spend a cent, as I reused the things I already had.

I spent a wonderful day sitting outside in the sunshine and decorating /creating my birdcage.  My birds are even on the cage because they love Freedom!!!MyBirdCageZTHow many birds can you find in my creation?  Answer is at the end of the page.

ParrotsBeautiful parrots above and a gorgeous little bird on old boot

shoeZTjpgI used the bamboo sticks I found in the garage to make the cage floor.  I found some floral and decorative things like beads and glass butterflies and of course some parrots, which used to decorate flower pots.  The main bird is a Christmas decoration which I am so glad I bought many years ago!  (below)BirdSitsZtDecorative bead and bamboo floor of the cage

ztbambooI love the result, I think it looks fantastic!  What do you think?  I can imagine how I could decorate the cage differently for an event such as a wedding, Easter or Christmas.

Flower Power

I was looking through my photos and found a lot of pictures of flowers.  I saw this as an opportunity to play in Photoshop, look up some information about the flowers and share with you.  I would love to become a florist one day!  Here are my floral creations, I am sure you will agree that Flowers bring a smile and pleasure to us.

floral4Tulips, a surreal image.  The tulip is a perennial, bulbous plant with showy flowers in the genus Tulipa, of which around 75 wild species are currently accepted and which belongs to the family Liliaceae. Cultivation of the tulip began in Persia, probably in the 10th century. (Wikipedia)

Floral1My floral collage of roses, gerberas- ornamental plants from the sunflower family, named in honour of the German botanist and naturalist Traugott Gerber and some beautiful red flowers (not sure of the name). (Wikipedia)

Below:  Flowers and butterflies are the perfect combination.  Here you can see the daisies, Bellis perennis, is sometimes qualified as common daisy, lawn daisy or English daisy.   (Wikipedia)   Asters- one of my favourite flowers as it reminds me of my childhood and passing the market where they were sold, everyday I went home from school.  The other beautiful flowers are very common, but I don’t know the name, could it be anemone?

Floral2Below you see proteas, flowers commonly used in so-called “native” flower arrangements, they are not Australian plants. They are native to South Africa.  The genus Protea has given its name to a family of related plants (the Proteaceae) and there are are a number of Australian members of this “Protea family”. These include Banksia, Grevillea, Hakea, Macadamia, Telopea (waratah) and many others. (source-

Vintage Posters pop art

Posters have always been used as interior decoration items and we have all seen them displayed proudly in cafes, restaurants, hairdressing salons, art galleries and other private and public places.  Vintage posters are full of humour, colour, meaning and style, featuring wonderful characters.

I have taken the old pop art Italian, French and English posters and added my creative twist to them!  Enjoy!

Fun day out with flowers

Я признаюсь с радостью в том, что обожаю цветы, любые цветы, будь то розы, полевые, искуственные или сушенные цветы.  Недавно я побывала в цветочном магазине на уроке в Мельбурне, Австралия.  Вот что я создала.

I admit that I adore flowers.  Any colour, any size, all types.  I love flowers in summer and winter, in spring and in autumn.  I like real and fake flowers, on photos, drawings, even dried ones.  It is not surprising then that recently I enjoyed a floral arrangement class, which my sister presented to me!  Organised in a small, beautiful flower shop in the city of Melbourne, it attracted 8 female students.  I had to get a taxi in the city to make it right on time.  Our teacher was a florist and she passed on to us some useful tips and industry secrets and showed us a few practical ways of arranging flowers.  I was in heaven and very happy with my two arrangements.

My floral arrangement in the city of Melbourne:

The class was two hours long with a break for tea and biscuits.  This time out gave me a chance to observe and enjoy the beautiful interior of the flower shop.  It was full of blooming flowers in glorious colours, vibrant, fresh and fragrant.  Lots of flowers in vases, hanging from the light features, walls, containers, in bird cages and on a ladder, as well as in a wheelbarrow.  There were also soft toys and greeting cards for different occasions.

My lovely bouquet:

IMGP5719All 8 female students were very happy with their creations, as was I.   While walking with my flowers in the city of Melbourne, I attracted many glances of admiration and curiosity.  I safely brought the creations home and they decorated my living room for a week and a half.  I am looking forward to more flower arranging classes in the near future.
That day in the city has inspired my new video, which I dedicate to all people, who love flowers and also to my friends and relatives, whom I love very much.
